I wasn’t sure I was going to make it to a fireworks display this year. Paige is 2 1/2 and her bedtime is normally 7:30 and the two of us had our Mommy & Me “Bounce Buddies” class the next morning at Bounce Gymnastics in Eugene (she wakes up at 6am no matter what time she goes to bed, so staying up late results in a very cranky girl the next morning). But, after letting Paige try out some sparklers, she was pretty excited to see the big fireworks, so we made a very last minute decision to drive up to Creswell & see if we could find a decent spot to see the fireworks. We ended up parking in a neighborhood that had a perfect view, and the people who live right across the street were setting off their own huge fireworks (that easily rivaled the real ones) that were literally exploding directly above my head! The only down side to this spot were the power lines that got in my way in a few shots (including the ones I tried to take of the fireworks right above my head). Paige enjoyed the fireworks until the really big ones started going off right above us, and then she was ready to go. I ended up missing the last part of the fireworks show, but I still got so many great shots! Below are just a few of my favorites from this year’s 4th of July Fireworks display in Creswell, Oregon.

Super sharp and bright!
These are completely unedited images. All I did was import them to the computer and stick them into a photoshop template.
So pretty! Glad Paige had fun – did you use the plastic cup for the sparklers?
I planned to use the plastic cup, but Paige was fine with holding the end of the sparkler so we didn’t end up needing the cup.
